Afghanistan: Turkish convoy of NATO targeted by a suicide bomber

In Afghanistan, a suicide bombing killed two people Thursday morning in the capital Kabul. The attack targeted a Turkish diplomatic convoy belonging to the NATO mission. Victims are just a Turkish national and a passer Afghanistan.

The attack was claimed by the Taliban.

The suicide bomber detonated the vehicle in which he was, to the passage of diplomatic convoy. This happened just behind the Turkish embassy in Afghanistan. Building windows have also been blown out by the blast.

The Afghan capital has not seen an attack of this kind since early January.

This attack comes at a time that the government plans to open negotiations with the Taliban.

Islamist insurgents are still active in many parts of the country.
