Turkish schoolboy release arrested for "insulting" to President Erdogan


The 16 year old was arrested Wednesday was released after two nights in jail. Mehmet Emin Altunses was arrested at his school and then immediately charged and imprisoned for having publicly accused Erdogan of being "the leader of the flight, jars of wine and corruption."


The high school is part of a movement to the left and did not intend to give up militancy.


"We are not terrorists," he said. "We made a promise to not give up, we will not submit to fascism and oppression, we are like the soldiers of Atatürk, and that's why we stopped."


There is one year, the name of the President Erdogan and his children had been cited in a wide corruption scandal without anyone being prosecuted by the courts. The opposition accuses President today have muzzled the judiciary and passed the draconian laws to stifle dissent.
