Poland: the parade of the extreme right turns to clash with police

The march of the extreme right turned to confrontation yesterday with police in Poland. On the occasion of the anniversary of the country's independence, the nationalists had organized a parade in Warsaw. Their goal: to denounce what they see as threats to the Polish values. A demonstration of tens of thousands of people erupted for the fourth consecutive year. Police had yet to process more than 200 arrests before even the start of the procession, for carrying objects that could be used as weapons.
