220 Assyrian Christians, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, were abducted last three days. Kidnappings, mostly women, children and old people, occurred during the
capture of a dozen villages near the town of Hasakah. In the region Kurdish militias backed by Iraqi peshmerga and raids of the international coalition, fiercely fighting Islamic state.
Christians could act as human shields, or be redeemed against jihadist prisoners Kurds.
Kidnapping of Christians, the jihadists know they will move the international community. About 5,000 Assyrian Christians have taken the path of the exodus. They were 30,000 before the conflict there four years.
