Russian court sentenced the opponent Alexei Navalny to fifteen days in jail for distributing leaflets in the Moscow metro. The conviction prevents him from participating in the event that he planned on March 1 in the Russian capital. Navalny, who promised to bring 100,000 people, has urged people to take to the streets on Sunday. "I call on everyone to come," the march of Spring "and fight for the future of our country," he said.
Charismatic blogger, known for denouncing the corruption of elites in Russia, the opponent was convicted in December of embezzlement and sentenced to three and a half year suspended sentence.
