Guinea: Opposition suspends protests in the wake of violence


The Guinean opposition calls on supporters to until next week due to in the capital, Conakry.


One person died, a dozen others were injured last two days because of the mobilization against the electoral timetable set by the government.


The electoral commission announced a presidential in October, but according to an agreement signed in 2013, local elections were supposed to be called first. Crucial elections for the opposition hopes to increase their influence on the organization of presidential elections.
