Deadly floods in the arid northern Chile

In northern Chile, one of the driest areas of the world, the rain has caused severe flooding. Torrents of mud and stones from the mountains have hit villages. The death toll rises to twenty dead and many missing. More than 4,500 people had to be accommodated in shelters.
