Between 17 000 and 20 000 people braved the rain in Brussels against austerity to scroll to the call of citizens' movements "Any Other Thing" and Hart boven Hard.
The protesters advocated "tax justice", "solidarity against poverty" or "dignity at work" as an alternative to the austerity policy of European governments.
