The Chadian air force launched an offensive against one of the strongholds of the Islamist group Boko Haram in Niger.
More than 120 Islamists were killed in the bombing of the Chadian army in the city of Gambourou, located on the border with Cameroon.
For his part, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon calls for solidarity in the fight against terrorism. "As al-Qaeda terrorists and Boko Haram Islamic state committed acts of unspeakable brutality against humanity," he has said. "No one, not even a regional power, can not handle it alone. "The African Union has also called for the mobilization in Africa and approved the establishment of a regional force of 7,500 men to fight against the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram.
