Germany approves the extension of eurpéenne financial aid to Greece

After two weeks of tough negotiations, Greece was torn from his euro-four months respite area partners to formulate a "new deal" for the country. And the German Parliament had to decide on the extension. After an intense three-hour debate, she voted yes to 542 votes against 32 against.

Before the vote, the German Minister of Finance Wolfgang Schäuble considered this decision "not easy" but necessary to avoid the worst:

"There is no question of granting new billion to Greece, or change anything in the program. This is to give or allow more time to complete the program successfully. "

Despite the hard line adopted by Berlin, supported by the north of Europe, but also in some southern countries facing austerity, a green light from the Bundestag was no doubt. The Netherlands, Finland and Estonia also had to decide on the respite granted to Greece, which in return, promised to continue reforms and savings measures. Remains the thorny problem of the amount of Greek debt which Germany refuses partial erasure.
