Eastern Ukraine: "We are tired of trembling"

In eastern Ukraine, the city of Debaltseve controlled by the forces of Kiev, is encircled by pro-Russian separatists say the rebels. This fight for this strategic city has spread to other cities in the area, according to our reporter Sergio Cantone who visited one of them, Popasna.

Popasna, which has not been spared by the bombing, is located sixty kilometers west of Luhansk, stronghold secessionists.

"Let's do the math: we had 22,000 inhabitants, indicated the mayor of the city. Now there are just 4000 or 5000 that live here. Some continue to leave. "

At the checkpoint of the Ukrainian army, our team also saw two buses evacuating children and the elderly as well as civilians fleeing the city in their car.

"We are tired of shaking. We do not know what will happen, lamented a resident. Here, the explosion was so strong that it shook my house. When is it's all over? I fear for the children. Children do not go to school. This is not good. "

"A Grad rocket fell in from that direction. I do not know who fired, says another resident, traumatized by bombing. (...) We've all cleared. There was a gallery with buildings and there, there was a house and that's all what's left, "she added, pointing to a pile of debris.

A Enakieve, a city closer to Debaltseve than is Popasna, some civilians were anxious that this strategic city fell to the separatists in order, they say that the bombing stopped.
