Syria: Damascus ready to meet the opposition in Moscow

But the Syrian National Coalition, which represents the moderate opposition supported by the Western powers, immediately rejected the offer. "There is no initiative, as claimed by the rumor," said its president Hadi al Bahra during a visit to Cairo where he met with Secretary General of the Arab League.


For nearly four years, Syria is ravaged by a terrible civil war between the troops of the regime and rebel forces who hear overthrow. Nearly 200 000 people have already lost their lives in this conflict, the majority being civilians, including women and children.
