Exchange their recyclable waste against medical care when you have a low income. This is the idea developed by a young doctor in Malang on Java island, Indonesia. It was implemented in 2013, after having been applied in 2010 for 6 months. Five clinical dubbed "Waste Insurance Clinics" in this program.
"We set up a business that aims to have a social impact, said last week the young doctor, Gamal Albin. We seek to make a profit, but not for personal enrichment. The benefit proceeds are used to ensure the sustainability of the program. "
Teams of "Waste Insurance Clinics" roam the villages to explain and propose this system.
Recyclables are to provide both organic non-organic garbage like plastic bottles whose degradation time is estimated at several centuries.
