Ebola: Glasgow British nurse moved to London


The British nurse infected by Ebola was admitted on Tuesday morning at the Royal Free Hospital in London. It is the first case diagnosed on British soil. Sierra Leone Back Sunday evening, she was hospitalized and placed in isolation the next day in Glasgow. She worked for the NGO Save the Children. In addition, tests are underway for two other suspects, one in Scotland and one in England.


Jermey Hunt, the Secretary of State to the British health is reassuring. "The government did absolutely everything possible to British security," he says, "I'm satisfied with the procedures and protocols that we work for several months, they are now in force."


The patient is treated in a high-level isolation unit. Another nurse suffering from Ebola had been treated here last fall, William Pooley. He had overcome the disease.
