Tunisia: towards a Essebsi-Marzouki duel in the second round


In Tunisia, the official results of the first round of presidential elections are not yet known (they will theoretically Wednesday), but it is almost certain that it will take a run to designate the future head of state.


In the camp of Beji Caid Essebsi told trusting, ensuring have a wide lead over the other side, that of the outgoing president, Moncef Marzouki, who claims to be in the lead.


So it's between these two men that the choice will be. Candidates who were beaten in the first round have not yet given instructions to vote.


Observers point out a fact: this is the first time since independence that Tunisians can vote freely to elect their president.


The 1st round of the participation rate is just over 64%.


The second round could take place in late December.
