In Japan, the eruption of Mount Aso drags on. Located on the island of Kyushu in the south-west of the archipelago, the volcano woke up Tuesday and spews ash up to 1,000 meters around since. Many flights were canceled at the nearby airport Kumamoto. Mount Aso is one of 47 active volcanoes in Japan under surveillance.
